Counseling and Diagnosis (LPCA)
Whether you’re facing the heavy weight of depression, the constant noise of anxiety, or the complex journey of addiction recovery you don’t have to face it alone.
As a professional counselor I work with and diagnose individuals navigating:
Addiction
Addiction often begins as a way to cope to escape pain, numb overwhelming emotions, or feel in control. Whether you’re struggling with substance use or compulsive behaviors, we’ll work together to understand the underlying patterns, reduce shame, and support your path toward sustainable recovery. Using trauma-informed and evidence-based practices, I offer a compassionate space to explore what’s beneath the surface and rebuild a life rooted in choice and connection.
Anxiety
Anxiety can show up as racing thoughts, constant worry, perfectionism, or the fear of not being “enough.” It can interfere with your relationships, career, and peace of mind. Together, we’ll slow down the anxious mind, reconnect with your body, and use practical strategies to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and present. I integrate mindfulness, parts work, and somatic tools to support long-term emotional regulation.
Depression
Depression isn’t just sadness it can feel like disconnection, emptiness, or losing touch with who you are. If you’re struggling to find motivation or feel stuck in cycles of self-criticism, you’re not alone. Our work will gently uncover the roots of your experience, reconnect you with your internal strengths, and help you take meaningful steps toward healing and reconnection.
Background and Approach
I am a native Oregonian who spent half of my life living in Vermont and Massachusetts. I have an undergraduate degree in Music Theory & Composition and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University here in Oregon which is one of the few APA accredited schools in Oregon. I am a certified PRINT coach and ADHD coach as well. I live in Sherwood Oregon on a small farm where I spend as much time as I can outside. I am still an active musician, soccer coach, and I am an avid fan of games of all types, movies and music of most genres. My passion for counseling comes from my own experiences with ADHD, addictive behaviors and learning to balance my own life. I am always learning through trainings, colleagues and even from the clients I support.
My experience with inpatient mental health at Portland Providence Medical Center and private counseling practice have given me a broad perspective on working with individuals with varying needs. Counseling is the most rewarding work I have found in my own journey. Allowing someone to grow in a safe, open and support environment is my utmost goal. I have helped guide many people towards a healthier happier lives.
I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, IFS (internal family systems), addiction treatment, ADHD management and coaching . With the uniqueness of each client my approach is to find the best framework mixture for each client individually. This is your journey and I am here to support it.
