Background and Approach
My experience with inpatient mental health and private counseling have given me a broad perspective on working with individuals with varying needs. Counseling is the most rewarding work I have found in my own journey. Allowing someone to grow in a safe, open and support environment is my utmost goal. I have helped guide many people towards a healthier happier lives.
Half of my career has been in counseling and working with teens. In particular teens dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety and addictive behaviors. Addiction includes online, substance use, gambling, and other risky addictive behaviors.
I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I also integrate internal parts work such as you see in IFS or internal family systems counseling. With the uniqueness of each client my approach is to find the best framework for each client individually.
