Anxiety and Depression Counseling
Understanding the overwhelm. Rebuilding from within.
Anxiety and depression are two of the most common mental health struggles people face and yet they often go unseen or misunderstood. They can show up as exhaustion, irritability, indecision, emotional shutdown, restlessness, or a constant feeling of being “on edge.” Left untreated, they can affect relationships, work, health, and overall quality of life.
I offer a warm, structured, and deeply compassionate space to help you or your loved one make sense of these emotions and move toward lasting change. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based practice because true healing includes both insight and action.
Anxiety and Depression Often Travel with ADHD and Addiction
Anxiety and depression don’t always come alone. In fact, they often walk hand-in-hand with:
- ADHD, where chronic stress from executive dysfunction, low self-esteem, and overstimulation can lead to emotional burnout
- Addiction, where substances or compulsive behaviors become ways to escape the weight of anxiety or numb the pain of depression
In many clients I see, these challenges overlap. That’s why I focus on treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis. Whether your anxiety and depression are primary or part of a larger pattern, we’ll untangle them with curiosity and care.
My Approach
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Helps identify and challenge distorted thoughts that fuel anxiety and hopelessness
- Teaches strategies for mood tracking, emotional regulation, and behavioral activation
- Supports measurable progress and goal-setting to restore a sense of control
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Helps you connect with the parts of you that feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or anxious
- Unburdens past pain, internal conflict, and critical voices that fuel depression
- Encourages a grounded sense of self who can lead with clarity and calm
Mindfulness-Based Interventions
- Offer tools to reduce ruminating thoughts and ground in the present moment
- Help regulate the nervous system and shift from reactivity to response
- Build awareness of body sensations, breath, and emotional cues for self-care
